Swaps
A forex swap rate or rollover is the overnight interest added or deducted for holding a position open overnight. At INZO, swap rates are determined based on the interest rate differential between the two currencies in the trading pair, as well as the direction of your position (buy or sell).
How to Calculate the Cost of Swaps
If you're holding a position overnight on the INZO platform (MT5 or cTrader), you may be charged or credited with a swap. The amount depends on the direction of your trade (buy or sell), the instrument, and the number of nights.
Example:
- Swap Long: 1 lot × (−6.25 points) × 3 nights = −$18.75
- Swap Short: 1 lot × (+2.56 points) × 3 nights = +$7.68
Swap values are quoted per standard lot and may differ per instrument. Check actual swap rates in MetaTrader 5 (via Specification) or cTrader (via Symbol Info).
What You Should Know About Swap Rates
All swap values are calculated per standard lot and automatically converted into your account's base currency.
Some instruments may have negative swap values on both long (buy) and short (sell) positions.
Most instruments have triple swaps on Wednesday, including Forex and Metals.
Swap fee is charged only when your position rolls over to the next trading day.
Swap rates vary by symbol and market conditions.
